Wompat baby carriers are easy to use and the weight of the child is spread evenly over your hips and shoulders. A full buckle carrier is often more convenient outdoors: you don't have to worry about getting your baby wrap dirty on the ground.

Wompat baby carriers are made of durable cotton fabrics. The shoulder straps and waist bands are made from soft corduroy, cotton twill or linen. The carrier body is made from firm cotton fabrics. Our standard collection include Girasol baby wrap fabrics. In addition to that some panel design will change every season.

Wompat carrier is ergonomic for you and your baby. The high panel part gives support to baby's back and neck. We have also added soft padding under baby's legs which prevents any pressure to your baby's thighs. The lower part of the panel creates a pouch for baby's bottoms and she will easily take up an ergonomic frog leg position. A cute sleep hood supports baby's head while taking a nap. If you don't like any of the in stock baby carriers, you can order a Wompat carrier with the Girasol design of your choise! On the Girasol wrap page you can see what colors are available. The collection of the strap fabrics changes frequenty but you can find some pictures of the color options later on this page and in the Gallery. It is also possible to order a custom made Wompat with your own fabric. The length of the shoulder straps can be modified, too.

Wompat baby carriers are available for customers in Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, but unfortunately we can not sell them to the USA or Canada.

Wompat baby carriers are manufactured in Finland by handwork. The shoulder straps and waist bands are made of durable corduroy or cotton fabrics and the carrier body is made of firm cotton fabrics. Our standard collection include Girasol baby wrap fabrics. In addition to that we will offer some good quality fabrics from Finnish designers which will change every season.

The shoulder straps are wide and padded and they distribute the weight of the child evenly over your shoulders so no pressure points will occur. Wompat carrier has a soft padded and shaped waist band and this is why a great deal of your child's weight will be set on your hips instead of your shoulders. There are two pleats at the bottom of the carrier body and these create a pouch for your child's bum so that he/she will settle in an ergonomic frog-leg position easily.

We offer four sizes of Wompat carrier: baby, medium, toddler and pre-school. The age and size recommendations are average estimations. If you can't decide between two sizes, please think about when do you need it the most: do you need the carrier right now or maybe a little later. If you need it now, the smaller size is probably right for you. But if you want to be able to use the carrier as long as possible, then you might want to choose a bigger size.

The waist and shoulder straps have two way adjustable buckles. The buckles and straps are made of durable and strong materials. The back side of the panel is made of nice feeling and strong cotton and we have also added an extra layer of cotton between the panel fabrics.

All Wompat carriers have a cute sleep hood which can be tied up. The hood supports your baby's head while sleeping and it will also give some privacy for the little one, if she feels overwhelmed. The sleep hood is handy when a bad weather catches you.

With Wompat baby carrier you can carry your baby on front belly to belly, on your back or on your hip. While carrying the baby on front, you may wear the carrier either with straight shoulder straps or you can cross the straps on your back.

The standard length of the shoulder strap is 39 cm (the padded corduroy part) and this is suitable for most average sized parents. We can also make the shoulder straps shorter or longer, if needed. This kind of modification will cost 5€. Here are some tips for choosing the right strap size:

38-44 OR 160-180 cm --> 39 cm (M)

46-> OR over 180 cm --> 44 cm (L)

The standard length of the waist band is 62 cm (padded cordoroy part). This waist band size is suitable for about 68 - 120 cm waist / hip. So the tightest setting is 68cm and the largest setting 120 cm. It is possible to make the waist band 5 cm shorter,  if the 68 cm is not tight enough. Also if you need more than 120 cm for the waist, we can add more webbing to make the diameter larger. The s or L size waist bands will cost 5€. Here are some tips to help you with the decision:
