I became inspired in baby wraps already when I was expecting our fist child. The philosophy of babywearing felt so natural and right: I just wanted to keep my small one close to me as much as possible. My first baby wrap was a long woven wrap, which although was a good quality wrap, was way too thick and stiff for a beginner with a newborn. I didn't know any better and practiced wrapping methods persistently. The early weeks with our new wrap weren't always so rosy but I still found it very helpful when the baby cried a lot. Our babywearing hobby became more intense when the baby was few months older. Since then have the different baby wraps and carriers been an irreplaceable help at home as well as outside home.

Gradually I started thinking of a web shop of my own, and when I had the opportunity to continue selling the beautiful KatiWrap Girasols, started my dreams come true. “Liinalapsi” baby wrap shop was founded in April 2008. At first our product range will consist of KatiWraps and KatiSlings and later the selection is going to be expanded with our own exclusive Girasol design. I will also add some mei tais and soft structured carriers to the repertory in the future.
